A5 Sunshade
I just picked up the Covercraft Sunshade for my A5. I purchased it from my local dealer. It is supposed to fit the A5 B9 (I have the 2019) But, I am very disappointed in it. It does not go all the way to the edge of the windshield on the sides, and it is very hard to put on. The cutout for the mirror looks too small and the sunscreen sits a few inches above the windshield on the inside, like it is too tall.
I have always run weathertech before. I love how well they fit and I was expecting the same thing here. The downside of weathertech is the giant roll that you have to carry around with you.
Has anyone else purchased the sunshade from Audi? Was mine just labeled wrong? It seems like it might fit the Q5 better...

My Covercraft shade for the A5 with HUD (part number UV11579SV, purchased directly from them) was a perfect fit. Haven't tried using it on the RS5, but I am sure it will fit as well.

Where do you guys store these accordion-type sunshades when not in use? I've been using the two-piece foldable types I got from Walmart and I store them in the passenger side seat back pocket when not in use. I like their compactness and doesn't take up any storage space.

I only take it with me when I know I will be parking in the open, under the sun for an extended time, which is not very often as I have covered parking at home and work (and tint on the windshield). If I do take it, I store it in the generic luggage net I have from Ebay, strung between the grocery hooks in the trunk.

The one from Audi comes in a nice storage bag. I have the coupe, so I was planning to just set it on the floor behind the drivers seat.
After a bit of playing with it, I found that you can shove it down between the dash and windshield that 2" that was sticking up. It takes an unessissary amount of force and I feel like im going to tear it apart when I pull it out. The top has to be held in place with the sun visors.
If I was going to do it again... I would go Weathertech. Its bigger and harder to store, but it fits better. This one still has about 1.5" gap on both sides of the windshield. Part Number: ZAW064360R

As I’m usually driving alone, I keep it between the console & the passenger seat. When I have a passenger, it goes on the back seat. Remember — Coupé with no rear passengers!

I do not like the accordion style as they are cumbersome - i just use the connected circles that fold together in a small circle. I'm lucky that work and home are covered parking.
