Default Anyone else's tint causes glare off rear defroster?

So I got Llumar Pinnacle 35% on my A5SB about 6 months ago. Almost immediately, I noticed glare at night (and to a less extent during the day) similar to this picture

I figured it would go away but it's still there.

Is this a common issue? I had another tinter look at it and said there's slight elevation around the defroster lines + the angle of the rear window may be causing the issues. Does anyone else have this issue?

I do not have this on my Coupé but my last car suffered that issue and it was a hatchback with tint.

The tint on the RSX was 3M’s first Ceramic tint and it was installed in 2013. The S5 has X-pel xr ir 20% on the rear Windows and back window. As there isn’t as much of an angle on the S5 rear window as there was on the RSX, I’m not sure it was the difference in tint material.

So I had a conversation about this with a buddy who got a Subaru Impreza a few months back. He mentioned that his car has that glare. I told him mine didn't. But once he mentioned it to me, I paid more attention and found out mine does have it, although not as much as the picture. From what I was told from my friend, who asked the installer. It has something to do with the defroster because it isn't a smooth surface just like you said. I hate that my friend brought this to my attention, because I never noticed it before. Apparently from what the installer said to my buddy, you can get it reinstalled with some special spray that goes between the film and glass, which makes it stick much tighter to those raised areas to reduce it, but not make it disappear 100%

I have no glare or issues with the rear window, no lines on the rear defroster, either.

I have 3M Crystalline 90 all the way around on my RS5 SB.

Hmm. Yeah I wonder if i should have them redo the back. It’s not terrible now because I don’t drive much at night right now. They’re about an hour away from me which is why i havnt gone down there sooner

I have the Sportback and the tint I have is the LLumar Formula One Stratos with 15% on my rear glass, sides and sunroof glass and I have the LLumar Formula One Stratos 50% on the windshield glass with a 5% Sunblocker strip across the top. I have had it installed for a year and 3 months now and I have never had any problems with glare, fuzziness or distortion on any of my windows (I am knocking on wood as I type this). I will never buy any other window film or tint.

I don't have this issue. I have no idea what kind of tint the car has because the dealer did it.

I have a coupe and have the glare - have had it for 3 years, but also had dealer do tint and don't know what kind they used. Based on the responses so far, and it being the dealer...probably not the best :-/
