The moment you put a keyring the key doesn't sit in the key slot in the centre console, or the key ring scratches the trim. Just put a nice silicon cover of the key fob and then even the key doesn't rattle in the key slot.

Got this from Amazon, don't know if its real leather but looks and feels high quality. It does make the whole thing a bit bulky but it matches the car color!

I got one of this, from Amazon. Clip on a belt loop on my right hip, and tuck the key in the back pocket. The key does not get in the way when I sit in the car.
