Audi Sound System what are my upgrade options?

True, the issue is that ready made ones are difficult to make because each car and subwoofer driver needs something different. But there are a few companies that do this for a living, So they have the necessary setup, just not the shape. I am in touch with 2 such companies in the UK. Hopefully I can work with them to create a sub enclosure for a driver that is easily to find in the UK.

This thread is not as good as the previous one linked because people have just put in bass boxes in the boot. But the one with the sub on the Right and the Amp on the left from @Groove1 is excellent. There are companies who make such boxes for the previous A5 Sportbacks. I've contacted a couple to see what it would take to make one for the F5A.

Just spotted another solution. Which also looks neat. The added advantage is that it brings the bass into the cabin. My previous car, a BMW, used the underseat location for its own OEM subwoofers.

I now don't feel bad not adding B&O as most of the people adding subs are the folks with B&O. And as I said the highs and mids of *** is absolutely fine.

I installed the Kicker Hideaway today, and oh man, the B&O system came alive. Only took about an hour start to finish, due to the battery and existing subwoofer being right next to each other. This is exactly what this car needs.

Having spent some time looking at the wiring diagrams for the car, I found out that my *** has no Amplifier. All speakers are driven directly from the HU. But the best part is that there is a junction box in the Left Hand side A pillar that extends the sub-woofer connection from the HU to the boot. Since there is also a fuse box just there, I am now also wondering if I should consider an underseat sub. Or maybe one under the Glovebox firing downwards, since my glovebox is also on the Left. But I don't like things on show.
Has anyone just tried buying a better 6.5" driver and driving it harder with another amp in the existing subwoofer housing?
