Default Audi "STOP SALES" order on 2021 RS5

My dealer got in the Ascari SB but they told me they can't process sales till Audi lift the "Stop Sales" order. They said it's usually happens when there a pending service bulletin or fix coming down the line. Anyone that works for or with Audi can clarify this? Thanks.

OK. I googled it and it turns out to be not uncommon. The most recent case I found was on Sept 25 for the new Corvette C8 and it was about a contaminated brake sensor that needs to be swapped out before sales can resume. The last Audi stop sale that I can find was back in June 1 2018 about the the brakes on the Q5. It seems it's usually safety related. However, I can't find how long the stop sale was in effect in either case. Hopefully some that works with Audi will see this thread and have more info.

Taking a guess here, maybe related to the issue described in this recent thread?

There was also a stop sale right at the end of the C7 A6/S6 as the C8 A6 was coming out. It was for the PODS which when it was finally resolved meant you could get a final model year brand new C7 A6 or S6 for damn good prices because the C8's had already arrived.

Why was there a sales hold?

But I got a call on Wednesday that it's been lifted but I can't make it to the dealer that afternoon and my sales guy is off today and tomorrow. Heading in on Saturday morning, let see if they are willing to deal as there're 5 Ascari SB within 70 miles with at least 2 more in transit so I can wait if we can't work out a deal.
