In your opinion, what's the best amp and subwoofer combination to use with the Basser Box?

The Kicker Key 500.1 with the 10W1v3-2 is a tried and tested combination. To find a sub that fits in the Basser Box and work within the 15L available is actually not straightforward.
These are the key physical limits the Basser box can accommodate.
Subwoofer depth (mm) 130
MAX magnet diameter (mm) 170
Volume closed enclosure (liters) 15
Kicker have some dual 2ohm subwoofers that can be wired down to 1ohm to make the subwoofer play even louder using the 500.1 e.g 43CWRT102

I simulated a bunch of woofers in the baser box and the JBL Stadium 1024 was the best for ultra deep bass.

Green JBL 1024
Dark Blue Alpine R
Light blue Focal A4
Pink Focal P25F
Orange JL10w3
Red JL 10w0

I'd use the Kicker Key500.1 amp. By far the least amount of fuss.

Thanks for the replies. This is still something I’m mulling over so I’ll probably follow up once I decide to go ahead with it.

Crutchfield says it has been discontinued.

Hmm the replacement for it seems to favor ported boxes. The Alpine R10 was my second choice and it's still available

@Bobby Kinstle some of these won't fit in the Basser Box because of the reduced depth behind the magnet.

It wouldn't have fitted any way!

This won't fit either.

My subwoofer package with the Basser box and JL 10W1v3-2 I bought from another forum member arrived. I picked up the Kicker 500.1 already. I will be trying the install tomorrow. We shall see how this goes.

What's the depth available?
