I never said it was, but the previous poster was listing all of the 340 Xdrive advantages and left out one aspect that will be no better than that of the S5.

One thing that the S5 has (at least for now) that the M340 doesn't is a two-door option. I'm hoping the next 440 (or M440 or whatever they will call it) is more competitive. When I tested a '19 440 xDrive coupe, it was nice enough but fell short in several ways when compared to the S5 coupe.

Of course, if you're a SB person, a four-door 3-series is a more reasonable comparo. I do like the new interior on the 3-series, though the outside is not to my taste. Saw a '19 in the Costco lot a while back. From some angles, it was very nice, but others, like straight-on front or rear, not so much.

It is so typical, though, that just like grocery stores, where you end up having to go to three of them to get everything you want, all of the stuff you want on a car seems to be split between Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. Except that you can't buy one part of this and one part of that in this case.....

Unfortunately, I see this refresh as more evidence that Audi is haphazardly playing catch-up rather than executing a coherent long-term plan.
I'm confused. Are you saying that the 2019s don't have perforated leathers but the 2020's do? I have a 2019 and the steering wheel and shift levers are both perforated.

That's because you have an RS5. The S5 has smooth leather. The A5 S-Line has partial perforated leather. Go figure.

This article confirms that Audi is going in the wrong direction by adopting touch screens instead of the "feel your way" ****/button system:

Unfortunately, it appears that many of the posters on this thread are more attuned to the current research than Audi's interior designers. I was thinking about this over the weekend after taking my first long drive in my S5 with HUD. I found the HUD to be extremely helpful in heavy traffic, particularly having the navigation directions on the windshield, and was able to go for long periods without taking my eyes off the road. There is no way I would ever be comfortable driving something like a Model 3, which has no HUD and not even a gauge cluster.

Its all personal preference. I’ve had 3 cars with HUD - I absolutely loathe it. It’s a huge distraction, for me. But I have tons of clients who won’t buy any car without it

Not a fan of the "stretched wider grille" to match the other Audis..

Just my 2 cents.
