Default Deer 2, RS5 0

Coming home Thursday night a deer hit me in the drivers side door and then bounced off the front fender and hood. The curtain airbags and the side seat air bags deployed. Very scary having the airbags deploy. This was the first time ever for me. Last year when the car had 900 I ran over a deer carcass only causing damage to the belly pans. I am ok. My left shoulder hurts like hell and has some burn marks from the airbag. Waiting for the insurance. I have already made my mind up not to keep the car. Just to much bad mojo around it. I do want another RS5 in the same spec. My friends think I am crazy. But it’s the only car out I love. I know the car will never be the same after it is fixed that is the reason I am getting rid of it. God did have his hand on me and protected me from gettin hurt even worse than I did. It makes me sick to look at this car. So much damage. The clear bra did perform well. Not one scratch on top of all the dents. The ceramic coating must have not allowed any blood to stick. Thanks Guys. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I need guidance and peace.

I'm sorry that happened to you JBD. Especially twice.
Anyways, the fact you walked away is something to be grateful for as you mentioned. Cars are rolled out every day from the plant, while your individual life is a one time deal.

I'm surprised you want another RS5 in the same spec. Then again you have a coupe. If anything happens to my S5 SB in the next year (knock on wood), it'll just fast track me to the S7 that is on my list to replace the S5 anyways. More room and almost the same performance as the RS5.

WOW, JBD!

At least you’ve got your priorities in the right order. Sorry it happened to you but as BreedsAs stated, YOU are what’s important — cars will be replaced but you are unique and irreplaceable.

Prayers will be offered and please, keep us posted as to how this all ends up!

Deer kill more humans than any other animal in the US.

Glad you're ok.

That'll buff out. In all seriousness, glad to know you are OK. It'll be very interesting to see what the tally is to see if the same damage would have totaled an A5 coupe.

Very curious on what PPF and coating you are using? Also, I see that your registration sticker does not have the blue border around it - did you trim it by any chance? We may be alike in the way we are obsessed with details.

YES! Little things like the blue drives me nuts. I did trim it. The clear bra was llumar and the coating was gtechniq 10 year. Both performed awesome. New car will be getting the same.

Thanks everyone! I will keep yall updated.
