Good to know. Nice feature to make the A5/S5/S4 feel more sporty!

Looks like BMW is getting in on the Sportback act now...

This is their version.

The 4 series Gran Coupe has been around since 2014, they're just hard to notice because they so closely resemble a 3 series IMO. 2018 they're restyling it....similarly built they are pricier and not nearly as appealing to me.

I agree.

I live in the land of German autos and (in my opinion) Mercedes and BMW are boringly unnoticeable - and forever after when I see a Mercedes sedan I will think of it as a taxi. The only native cars that catch my eye have been the Audi Avants and the Sportback (aside from the $100,000+ supercars that are on the road around here).

Drove by the dealership last night. Thought I'd share these.

Florett silver and the white one next to it really look good!

Question: Is that a reflector above the exhaust?

By the time I order my S5, there should be an APR edu flash out .
Should be over 400 hp.
The B and O audio is far superior to Burmester in C43amg and way better than HK in BMW 435.
Just checked out Mercedes c43 amg and noted it had no center console shift, only cheap plastic stalk on steering column. That is pathetic.
Looks like Audi in on another planet and generation ahead of both.

Damn that silver looks sick. That's what I'd get but with BO.

Love the pictures, looks awesome in Florett Silver!

I would somewhat agree with the points the OP made, I was expecting a bit more when I test drove a Ibis white S5 earlier this week, both in shear power and sound but then again, I am still driving my leased '15 F-Type and while just a base supercharged model @ 340hp, it pulls much harder and the exhaust note is intoxicating, I think Audi really missed the boat there but maybe they are saving the real growl for the RS5,

I must also temper my comments on performance by keeping in mind I had not only my wife but also the salesman along for the test drive and I bet that's at least 350 lbs I wouldn't be lugging around normally. That's a big difference.

The interior to me is over the top and I love the quality and design of the materials...and I really must say I think the pricing of the Audi packages and stand alone options compared to other makes...maybe I shouldn't type that in case Audi reads these forums, lol!

I'm at a point in life where I'll trade comfort and a grand tourer over sheer acceleration...and this S5 sure is one sexy coupe!
