Count me in. My SA looked at me like I was nuts when I mentioned it but they could not reproduce either. Seems random to me but usually within the first 15 minutes of driving, sometimes 30.

Lol. I thought this was a feature to be honest. Mine does it too but doesn't really bother me. I kind of like it. When I get it the seat is a little softer then I usually have it for lumbar but then after a few mins of driving it stiffens up to the point I had it. Again thought it was a feature.

#metoo- Sometimes when I start the car the seat gives me a hug and it feels like it is welcoming me back. Other times the lumbar support inflates independently. I haven't reported it to the dealer because it hasn't stopped working--yet. I don't need them to hold onto the car for weeks while they chase a ghost in the seat.

The side bolsters deflate when you shut the car off if you have the exit/entry assist feature selected in the MMI. When you start the car they pump back up.

I just thought it was gently reminding me I now have this really cool seat massager feature and that I might want to turn it on.

This doesn't happen every time I start the car. It is a random event so I can't buy this explanation. Another reason that I can't buy it is because I don't know what the entry/exit assist feature is. Back to the manual...

I don't think that is why it's doing it. Mine happens 10-15 miles down the road. Very random.

Edit - just the lumbar is what is random, side bolsters act as TJEli described.
