Default Increasing the source volume of USB source?

When I connect my iPod or phone to the USB outlet in the center console / armrest (and maybe the one in the dash by the 12v port ), the volume of songs or podcasts is significantly lower than the FM radio or SiriusXM radio. This means I have to increase the volume quite a bit to listen at a comfortable level. This isn't a big deal until I switch back to the radio and get blasted out until I turn it down. On my B8.5 RS5 I'm positive there was an option in the MMI to increase the source volume / amplification of the USB port. Does anyone know if such a thing exists in the MMI or perhaps can be adjusted by OBD11, Carista, VAG-COM etc. ? Lastly, changing the volume on the iPod doesn't make any difference.

I have a 2019 RS5 Sportback, but presumably this is likely the same on all 2018/2019 A5/S5/RS5 models too...

There is the setting you mention *somewhere* in the MMI. I went through the same thing except in respect to bluetooth volume with my Iphone. I can't remember where, but there is a place to boost the input volume in the MMI. Just dig for it.

Adjusting the bluetooth volume was as simple as increasing the volume on the phone, at least for me. I have looked all over the MMI and haven't found anything for USB input level yet, but will take another look. Thanks.

Nothing works. I started a thread on it too and everyone had the same experience. Quite annoying like you said when I switch back to XM Radio and it's on blast.

I have the same issue with switching from the SD card (low volume) to Sirius (blasting when switching back). I have looked for input level controls but have never found any. I just TRY to remember to decrease the volume level when switching from SD card to Tuner.

Perhaps your FLAC files are recorded at a lower than optimum level. If you have Audacity (or similar application) you can try using the amplify function for -0.0 dB gain don't check the allow clipping box. I have all my music amplified to -0.0dB. No blasting when changing from SD card to FM radio. I don't have Sirius.

It would be nice to be able to adjust the treble, bass... on a per source basis as well.

I'll have to experiment some more. I would swear I tested this and it wasn't the case...
