Default Kicking Myself about Black Optics

One thing I regret not having is the black optics package. I got a deal that was almost too good to pass up on the 2018 this past spring but now that I found out the 2019 will have the black optics package and offering Quantum Gray I'm kicking myself. Someone talk me off the ledge!

It would be tough to get what I owe since the car is only 6 months old.

What about doing some vinyl wrap or plasti dip? Or a combo of both.

If it makes you feel any better, I think black optics looks terrible. I don't understand the obsession with it. The lack of visual contrast cheapens the syling. I prefer the subtle aluminum / brightwork to accent the design.

I thought about wrapping it but I'm always concerned about the removal harming the paint. My biggest thing is the 20" rotor wheels and Audi charges and arm and a leg if I order from dealership.

Thanks

Same here, no offense anyone but I think black optics will go the way of spinners.

I hear ya - was only available in Europe when I got mine.

I looked into vinyl wrap and it was surprisingly cheap, under $500 if I remember correctly.

Just haven't had time to research the ongoing maintenance of wraps, how durable they are, do I need to do anything special while washing, etc.

There is no correlation between accent paint colors and a style of rim. That's like saying yeah I don't like door handles they will go the way of VHS tapes lol.

They're both trends, and one of them has run its course.
