Default Michelin PS4S profile on 20x10" wheel - 285 & 295 width fitment ?

Can anyone please post here closeups of this tire (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 285/30/20ZR) mounted on a 20X10" rim? I want to see how Rounded or Squared or stretched, the tire looks relative to the rim. Better yet, Has anyone ever mounted a 295 width version of this same tire on the same rim (20X10"). I ordered my BC forged RT53's (thanks to MOPS@NEMESIS), and still have some time on deciding on tires. Would love to see if I can properly stuff 295's on the wheel since I read that 285's may be a little stretched on the rim.....

I appreciate the help with pics please ...

A 285/30/20 tire will not be "stretched" on a 20X10" wheel. In fact, it is about perfect sizing. Even on a 20x10.5" wheel. It will look great. A 285/30/20 only differs by 1.5% from the stock Audi tire diameter variance. You will be OK with this tire, and it will not be stretched.

If you go to a 295/30/20 tire, your variance is 2.7% from the stock diameter. You will be pushing limits for the safe operation of the car's electronics (stability controls, ABS, etc.). A 10 mm difference is only 5 mm on the inside and outside of the tire (compared to the wheel). You will not notice this difference.

Go with a 285/30/20 tire on a 20X10" wheel (or even a 20x10.5 wheel).

The question is not Audi specific. So any pics of 285/30r20 PS4S on 20x10 would seem relevant.

But for an Audi match:

Google search.

Yes....But "standards" remain as consistent.

^^

Wheels are "standard", or should be. Tyres are all over the place - one brand can look completely different from another in terms of sidewall/shoulder geometry and the actual width of tread on the road. Despite being nominally the same size. So I can understand the OP's question.

SMac770's link did show a 285mm PS4S on a 10" wheel, looked fine to me. Ironically the photo was from the same supplier "network" that the OP is buying the wheels from. Perhaps the OP is just trying to get broader input.

Anyway, agree with your initial comments: Audi fit 275 & 285mm tyres on 10.5" wheels on the C8 RS6/7. Plus if the OP is lowering his car, he may encounter issues with a 295 width, depending on offset. And if he is running 295 on lowered suspension, he is going to get a fair bit of inside shoulder wear from excess negative camber - but I am sure he is already aware of that...

I know you said 20x10, but I run the 295 tires you asked for pics of and you can see how they fit on the 10.5 rim. I have the BC Forged RZ21 20x10.5 ET25 Cone Seat, Gloss Black wheels wrapped with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/30ZR20.

The measuring rim width of various PS4S /30r20 is:
245 is 8.5"
255 is 9.0"
265 is 9.5"
275 is 9.5"
285 is 10.0"
295 is 10.5"
305 is 11.0"
315 is 11.0"
For /30r20 PS4S, the allowed rim width is the measuring rim width ±0.5". So the allowed tire widths of a /30r20 on a 20x10 would be 265 through 295, with 285 being the "natural fit". Same fit as the 295 on the 10.5 above.

Your speedometer/odometer accuracy will depend on overall diameter, but the ABS/ESP will depend on all four tires being the same.

That set up looks about perfect to me. Really like it a lot.

Mortys66's setup looks excellent. Great pictures. The rear tires are very" flush." My question to Mortys66: Do you rub at full suspension compression?

I had two places for my tire rubs, the steering knuckle and the screw head on the top of the wheel well opening fender lip. I have to use a 9mm spacer in front to push the inside of the tire away from the steering knuckle, I added a 3mm spacer in the rear just to match the front 'flush' setup looks. The front tires also did rub (at full compression, mostly at highway speeds on bumps) at the head of the 12 o'clock wheel well opening screw for the wheel well inner fender liner. Audi used a button head screw and I changed it out for a flat head screw. With them 2 items addressed I have had no more rubbing, even with 5 people in the car.
