Rbreeze took his time to help me out. I will gladly do the same for you if you like. You do need to order obd eleven and I recommend the pro it’s 79.99 from deustche auto parts. You also need an android to download the app OBD. You willl also need credits. I bought 500 for around $30. Also you will need the Internet. It’s super easy and only sounds complicated. PM me if interested in talking.

For anyone still following this, I just received my OBD11 today. Set it up, it showed an app for the easy seat function. Loaded it and it works just as I’d hoped.

NJS5 — Does it push the driver’s seat all the way back on shuttting the engine down?

Thank You.

Mine only goes back 2 inches or so. Just enough to get out easier. That’s in both my Q5 and A 5

Well, I would guess it depends on where your seat is positioned when you drive.

Even if you have the seat further forward it only moves back about 2 inches

Mine goes back about 6 inches when the driver’s door is opened after turning car off.

Thanks for your replies. NJS5 — did you have to change any settings in the MMI after changing via the OBD Eleven?

Vehicle settings/seats/driver’s seat/easy exit function and save to key functions both checked off.
Thats what worked for me. Works like a charm.
