Please help! Can't identify this rattle
Hi All,
2021 S5 Sportback. I had both driver-side tires replaced (at my Audi dealer) about 2 mos ago and the rattle started soon thereafter. Its sounds like it's emanating from under the instrument cluster but it's impossible to tell. Lastly, it doesn't happen 100% of the time as it depends on the pavement. Here is a video, please turn the sound up. I have an appointment at Audi next week but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue, very minor. My rattle comes from door pocket/wheel/instrument area. Only happens over roads that aren't smooth. No clutter in my car. My wheel is pulled all the way out, not sure if that's a factor. I just took him in for his 6 mo check-up. Of course, your symptoms disappear when you go to the doctor. This is why I lease, no big deal. I will upload a video next time I go out.

It may not be this, the video doesn't sound exactly the same, but the rattle I had that was making me insane was caused by passenger seatbelt clip bumping on the side of the seat / door panel. Using the little sliding adjuster on the belt to move it further up and away from everything resolved it and now I'm rattle free.

I had a rattle that sounded like it was from above and was bugging me and took it it. Turned out there was something in the sunroof and they cleaned it out and got rid of it. Never know what it may be but they knew apparently. Amazing what a difference. Good luck.

i get the rattle from the passenger seat/belt if positioned a certain way. the sound i'm having is thicker, more of a vibration. hopefully will experience it this wkd and be able to share.

Update: PROBLEM SOLVED
Brought the car in and they removed eveything to find two quarters and a dime resting on the drivers side knee airbag. Cost me $237 and worth every penny (pun intended)
