Anyone had a steering airbag malfunction alarm. I have less than 4k mls on my 2018

Yes, I did, twice, and also with about 4K miles. Mine is a 2018 S5. The first time they had to change some wiring harness that goes to the airbags, which required a major disassembly of the interior. Two weeks after it was fixed, light came back on again. That time they changed the actual passenger airbag. Was in the shop for about a total of 15 days combined. The first time when they ordered the wiring harness (which took like 3-4 days), they didn't realize some other small piece didn't come with it, which they then had to order, so a lot of the time was it just sitting in the lot waiting on parts.

Sorry to hear that, they changed some sensor control unit under the passenger seat today so I will watch to see what happens. I saw a thread back in 2013 with similar issues too
