I think if you're planning to put an order in now, on a car that theoretically won't arrive till summer, you will be hard pressed to get any meaningful discount beyond perhaps $1000 give or take. If you wait, that discount will likely increase, but, so will time without the car, so all depends on needs/wants. It's a brand new model with some pent up demand, so there isn't a reason, even on a build, for a dealer to go whole hog on the deal

Regarding pricing both dealers I ordered from guaranteed they would not charge anything over MSRP and they would honor any deals going on when the car arrives. The contract is not valid until you sign those papers. Anything before that is small talk. They take a deposit to see how serious you are. I'm sure if someone had a rapport with the dealer they may not require a deposit. I expect to pay MSRP with the hope I can negotiate a slightly better deal.

Only showing 5 cars in the whole country “In transit to dealer” aka released. All others still sitting.

Dunno about that, showing at least 9 cars in transit in Houston and that was on just 1 dealer's website.

Yeah i'm seeing 18 RS5 Sportback's just from the two dealers in Houston I ordered from and there are another two Audi dealers in Houston. I'm guessing there are well over 30 in transit to just Houston and some of those are at the port or on there way to the dealerships.
