Spotted in Ingolstadt: 2018 RS5 Coupe - Daytona Grey/Black Optics
Spotted during my S5 SB European Delivery day. Not the best images - an Audi employee literally pulled up and (presumably) another Audi guy hopped in and a few seconds later took off. Also, I was only able to quickly get a pic of a red RS5 Black Optics, a bit ticked I didn't get more.
Daytona Grey BO looked great - all the black was much more complementary and subdued compared to on the red, imo.

Agree that the car is stunning. What was Audi thinking with the wheels? Maybe better in person as is usually the case.

These wheels match the bright aluminum trim package, not the piano black or CF. There are going to be three trim packages...brushed aluminum, piano black, CF. Black Optic will match up with the piano black and CF trim. The corresponding wheels have black highlights and match nicely. There are earlier RS5 pics showing this.

^^
That will depend on how AoA package the car.
There are 4 exterior trim versions:
That does not include carbon exterior mirrors (+$1,000). Price are based on German options, converted and excluding tax. Just as a guide to relativity between the trims.
In the markets already selling the RS5, which now includes the UK if anyone wants to play on an English language configurator, there is no "corresponding" wheel for any external trim version.
But the anthracite black version of the Trapezoid 20" wheel seems to be a better fit for the gloss black external trim. So a strange choice for both those RS5's at Ingolstadt - makes me think they are employee cars, and they are balancing stock levels?
Possible that in any US "black optics package" there could be a further wheel made available to suit the design, and the price point. The Trapezoid wheels are forged alloys, and not cheap - a $2000+ upgrade. AoA have done this recently with the S4 - with a revised rotor style wheel being used within a Pack. Most of the RS5 test mules on the Ring were using 20" rotors.

The wheels still look like they belong on the inside of a food processor!
