Happy to say that the S5 got me to my destination in style with SPEED! Wet weather tires only became a necessity in the final 100 miles or so on the first day, crossing the Pacific Coast Ranges into Crescent City. We had torrential downpours in the twisties, but they were no match for the Conti Extremecontacts. Day 2 we took the scenic route, including the entire length of the Avenue of Giants, stopping for the obligatory "car through tree" shot. I was too nervous about driving through it, so I went around and backed into it Below are some of the pics (along with a shot of hitting 1000 miles!) Taking the car in for a 40% ceramic tint later today.
