Unused Audicare refund?
I will not need the last Audi care service. Is there a refund policy? This would have been the last service under the Audi care. .

I think it varies state to state. I used one service before I sold my SQ5. AudiCare was very quick reimbursing me the prorated difference back.

Audi site states,
May not be canceled and is non-refundable. 2 No refunds will be given if your lease is terminated early, or if your lease term is less than the coverage period. › May not be transferred to another vehicle. Coverage stays with the vehicle for the life of the contract.
State regs are going to overrule Audi terms.
In Fl, I got zero back for Audicare on an S5 with zero services.

I know I didn't get anything when I traded my 2019 S5 for my 2019 RS5 here in CT. I asked specifically and was told "no". 😥

No, it's not refundable. It's basically an option on the car and stays with the VIN. The new owner will get a free service. For those who lease, AudiCare increases the residual by 1%. Those who own can use it as leverage to get a higher price for the car.

Well, I thought it stayed with the VIN as well but in California it apparently doesn’t. I sold my SQ5 to the dealership I ordered my new car from. The SQ5 was purchased from a different dealership. The finance guy where I sold the car told me it wasn’t with the VIN and that I needed to contact the other dealership for a refund. I did exactly that and got my refund in less than 3 weeks.

When I bought my 3 year old 2018 S5 last year, from a CA dealer, with 11k miles, it did come with AudiCare. I learned then that CA was a unique state in that the AudiCare was, by state statute, refundable. All other states, it was said, were non-refundable based on the Audi contract wording. If original owner does not ask for refund, it stays with VIN, as was my case.

Since it stays with the car you should be able to get a few extra bucks when you sell the car. Just make sure you ring it up and the dollar value of the service.
