Unless you have it fixed to point north, then yes, all maps not just in European makes scroll upwards in the direction of travel, even Google Maps etc. The look ahead navigation instructions, though, are somewhat unique to the MMI or VW since the entire VAG is now using the MIB3 system, but they use different UIs. Don't remember from the top of my head if you get the same kind of navigation instructions in a Golf 8. If memory serves correctly, Lexus had similar navigation instructions at one point and they also scrolled upwards, but they added some 3D perspective to it. The bottom box was larger than the top box to give the visual impression of distance. Perhaps Audi should have done that to make it more clear.
