KD2 Software Update
HUGE MISTAKE! Dealer had the car for 3 days, and tried to install the update but it failed after 3-4 tries, and said that the update only went through partially. I asked for the car back and they returned it to me with nearly every safety and driver assistance feature not working. Not even adaptive cruise. Well, no cruise control at all. I called ADB support again, and the rep this time informed me that the update may not have been ready for my car. She said she would contact her supervisor to inquire, and get back to me. She did and informed me that the update is in fact ready and available for the A6/S6 e-tron vehicles. Now I'm trying to figure out do I go back to the service department that I've already started the process with, but has so far not done a great job, or do I roll the dice and try a different service department.
Anyway, would appreciate any info from other A6/S6 e-tron owners out there to see if anyone else has attempted this update, and if so, what was the outcome? Thanks.
So far has the software, both in the car and the crappy app been the worst experience in a car I ever have had.
Been a BMW driver nearly whole my life an things that has been standard there for over 10 years, doesn´t exist in Audi.
Bought the Audi then I hate the grill and overall design of the i5, but the new lines seem supernice, so this will be my one and only Audi experience.....
Example: you can´t manover the windows remotly, not from you phone, but not even from you keys....really 2025....
They don´t allow you to see where you car is via GPS when it´s on the move? WHY, I fix thjis with a Apple Airtag now instead but why have they locked this function?
The radio start "sparkling" sometimes when using Apple Carplay, but this is one other thing they will check tomorrow with the update.
The Magsafe box is crapp, you can´t have nay case on you phone, all I know use this.... even whitout a case it random turn on and off the charging.
Will update on how my KD2 update will be after tomorrow, are a bit scared now, but now I can tell them when I leave the car in their hands
Today I find out that the part is in. It had been in since last Friday - why wasn't I notified and had to contact them myself to get the status and schedule the appointment. Also, I wasn't able to get scheduled for an appt, where they could provide a loaner, until January 2nd. Not thrilled that I will have to drive the vehicle in the condition that it is in for another 2 weeks! It literally isn't safe to drive it on the highway and is really only barely viable for local driving.
Pasarella, I wish I had access to your dealer and glad your situation worked out well. Seems like from the replies that there is mostly a world of hurt from others as well, and that Pasarella's experience is the exception.
