12 below zero F, 6yr old battery is fine, breather valve is not....
My morning drive involved a rather huge vapor trail, seemed odd but the ar ran fine. Moments later the CEL & the engine miss starts. Now we are talking a serious smoke screen. 1 mile to the dealer. 900 dollars later (warranty), I have a new temp sensor (no.2) and breather valve. At 86k, that makes, 3 headlight washers, blower motor, tranny' pan gasket (2), VC gaskets, cam seals, outer CV boots, 2 front air springs & a turn signal stalk. I say my extended warranty from Zurich for $2300 was a steal. I am thinking I want something less expensive before my warranty ends next year, trouble is there is nothing else out there that compares.

At least the warranty paid off.
Off topic, are your RE960's 245/45? I just got some RS4 reps from Hartmann and am debating whether to go Michelin or Bridgestone. You happen to have a closer pic of the wheels? I just want to see how much rim protection it has. Maybe I'll go 255/45. Thanks.

Pilot Sport A/S Plus is the new no.1 in tests at TR.. Rim protection...
is super on the RE960's. Yes, they are 245/45/18"s.
I like the 245 width for winter as compared to my old 255/40/19's. There are a couple pic's in my pic' poster if you care to look. E-mail me if you need any further information.

Mine went last year and I was able to replace it with my local guy for not that much
money...that seems crazy to me unless it caused some additional damage or I caught mine in time...btw I don't have the traditional breather valve/suction pump as I have an early '01 and it had two valves instead of the suction pump.

The 02 sensors were fouled with oil & the temp sensor was bad too.
That could be part of the higher cost or... maybe the dealer was just that much more. I think I have read here that dealers are expensive ;-)
