2005 Allroad airbag light ON
Hello everyone, I hope you can help me solve my problem: my allroad's airbag light is ON, with following codes:
00588 - Airbag Igniter, Driver Side (N95)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
I tried removing the code by spraying some compressed air and connector spray, plugging and unplugging a few times and then deleting the code with VAG COM but the airbag light came back immediately.
So, I would like to know if cutting the wires and splicing them physically will work on the Allroad? I saw some videos where the problem is fixed this way, but all the videos are A4s with only 2 wires, and the Allroad has 3 wires: White, Brown and Green (see picture).
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Me again... reading on about this airbag light problem on different forums, many people say N95 means the problem is in the steering wheel, but many also say it is the connector under the driver's seat. I'm really confused...

Can someone please confirm if N95 means the steering wheel airbag or the side airbag under the seat? There's too much confusion about this on the forums and I don't want to cut the wires under the seat and possibly make the problem worse if N95 is not related to the seat.
