Default i hope this helps...

Now that you measured your car and you are level.

Go to the set up and adaptation... are you letting the car automatically set it self to level 2? This is critical to any adjustment.
Once this is done, then enter the changes you want.
Then read ans save Channel 5 as 01, not 000001.

Id all else fails, just tell the dealer that the lights level light and some sounds have been comming and they will re set it. Don't tell them you were doing a 402..

Default Thanks, paulroad!

I'll try using a value of 01 instead of 00001...

I always wait for the suspension to recalibrate to level 2 (right after entering channel 01).

So the things I'm seeing (random fluctuations in height) aren't normal, I guess...

Default within a few mm either way is considered within spec....

Also make sure you are not in the car or stuff is in your trunk when you do the 402 mod.

Yep. Took me about 10 minutes to learn that rule on my own!

Default Okay. That's good. I'll double check my notes and try again, but I think

that explains my difficulty. Thanks so much for the help!!

Default It's not a bad procedure and if the car needs to adjust 1/4" or so

you won't hear anything and it will adjust just fine. You only hear the air sound when it's having to lower by quite a bit.

I too have a page full of numbers from modifying mine today, but I'm pretty much even now.

It will settle and do weird things, but for the most part it should not be a problem.

One trick that I notice (maybe only with my vag) is for the 402 number, I highlight it, change the number to the value I want then hit the down or up arrow and then the opposite to bring it back to my value and hit save, doing this already runs the test.

I had issues with 04, kept going to error. Finally just split the difference that I wanted and entered it, wanted to get the entire car set and then I would go back to reset 03 (but the car made everything even, so that was strange).

I also leave the laptop on the pass seat and either lean in the window, or I have the door open while I adjust, that way I'm not sitting in the car.

The 402 is not an exact science and when one goes into this, they should have a couple of hours set aside to "play"..

Default When doing measurement after 402 mod, you should also check the message group 004....

the current deviation. The ride height will not change if the difference between the current height and the request is too small. But it will record this in the message group 004. The field 1, 2, 3, 4 of group 004 presents the front-left, front-right, rear-left, rear-right, respectively.
For example, if you find the front-left is higher 5mm than what you want, and the field 1(front-left) of group 004 is +5 mm, then the setting is what you want.
