50K Service turn out to be a lot more than regular schedule maintenance.
I had my 03 AR in for the last free maintenance service yesterday and ended up spending 5 and a half hours at the dealer. The coolant temperature was replaced, the rear transmission seal (connection between drive shaft and trans) was replaced, and the front passenger side CV boot was replaced. After I got it back, it shifts a lot better since they had to drain out the ATF and refill it with new fluid. Since I got it back, I smell rubber burning everytime I step out of the car. Is it normal or not? What cause that rubber burning smell? I got underneath the car and found that they cut out part of the pipe (about 5"-6" long) and replace it with a couple stanlees steel pipes.
Does anyone experience anything like that?
Advise would be really appreciated. I have 47,000 mile on the speedometer now.
Thanks!

Re: Rubber burning = RH cam adjuster seal leaking
Where is cam adjuster seal? Can you see it from underneath the car? I was wondering if the new CV boot they replace is what cause the burning smell.
Thanks!
Thanks!
