I am hearing from a Thule and Yakima retailer that the attachments to the aero bars would be impossible to find here in the states.

Can anyone confirm this.

you have to go to Thule...they got replacement parts for me in 3 days

what i meant was the store is saying that you cannot attach the us bike holders to the aero thule racks. I feel this might be BS!

You need special T-bolts. The vw/audi attachments already come with these bolts (clairparts.com), and they are effectively Thule attachments with locks. Price is about the same. Also rackwarehouse might have the T-bolts since they used to carry the aero bars. The bars themselves are apparently no longer being sold in US.
