31 years old. Allroad is a 2004.
The car you have all depends on what you can afford. What is your budget? There are Allroads out there for as little as 5K. It all depends on mileage and condition. I wouldn't recommend buying a cheap one unless you are very good mechanically/electrically.

I love these cars.
Any particular year I should look into?
2001, '02, or '03?

50 and counting (thankfully..) Have owned our 03 2.7T tip since 2009 and am very happy with it. While it has cost a fortune to maintain I think we're almost caught up now--60k service revealed a control arm issue that we are going to watch--basically another couple grand I need to throw at it in the future. But it regularly reminds me of what a great car it is--all day comfortable and with its new snow/ice tires is virtually unstoppable in the slick stuff. New allroaders--make sure you have the funds and/or capability to properly maintain the car--these things can be a finicky bunch. If you're at your limit to just purchase the car--you will probably not have a great relationship...

My birthday and my allroad's in service date are the same day. I turned 27 the day it went into service & my allroad turned 5 this past fall. With only 60k on the odometer I hope to be able to celebrate it's 10th bday, although <gasp> I'll be pushing 40 by then
