Allroad 2.7T diverter valve upgrade

Thinking about upgrade my 2004 allroad 2.7T DV, anyone has used this one? http://www.electrodyne.cc/product/93503.html. Or any input will be appreciated. not considering diaphragm anymore.

Stock tune or chipped?

If stock or stage 1, people like to run the upgraded Audi 710N DVs.

For piston type, Forge. Make sure you install the piston type correctly.

Thx, Eletrodyne is not recommended?!since it is adjustable which forge can't do.

What are you trying to achieve? What boost levels are you running?

Not tune yet, just replace the old diverter, heard about a lot down side of diaphragm valve, so want to upgrade to piston.

The diaphragm design is just fine actually. You should replace your valves if they are defective, otherwise you won't gain anything by replacing them.

Piston type have their own issues.

I can't comment on the brand you found, they could be fine, but a bunch of people with stage 3 allroads have been running forge DVs, that's all.

I have a stage 1 allroad...I just did the OE 710s as mine were original...203,000 miles on them. ECS had them cheap not too long ago. I didn't pull one apart to inspect but I bet after almost 13 years it was high time for new ones.

I'm not sure sinking more money on 'better' ones gains anything noticeable in performance on a stock or Stage 1 car. I feel no difference other than being about $100 lighter in the ole wallet.
