Allroad H-Sport meets WRX, or what I did this afternoon. New front drop links installed (BWW).....

They'll wear out, but it'll take a few years. I wouldn't hesistate running those.
I've run spherical bearing sway bar links on my __v__ since 1999. I just replaced them last summer.

Always good to consider all aspects of a mod. However....
while your points are quite valid, I'll offer my feedback:
1- You're 100% correct about the relative geometry. However in this case the difference is 9mm over a 98 mm length. In the ideal world, the length of the link would equal EO.
2- Agree about the adjustablility, though that's not what I had available. There's one piece out there that's adjustable, but I've been told that they break. And besides, when I installed these links, all 4 bolts slid right in place- there was absolutely no preload at all, unlike the stock pieces. For the more traditional rear configuration, I'll likely try to source an adjustable piece.
3- I'm interested to see how long the bearings hold up. So far, nice and quiet. Perrin will be happy to install higher strength bearings if we need. But they are confident there will be no issues even on our much heavier cars.
Like you, I like to tweak. But the allroad is hardly a car to want to corner weight it. Do I corner weight with myself in the drivers seat or not; do I wiegh with the 2 child seats in place and with or without the kids in the car. It's just a big ol' family hauler.
The old 911, on the other hand, was an entire ball bearing suspension and was corner weighted to a max cross wieght difference of 50 lbs. Yet those bearings held up fine after 2 years of street and track use. Never a problem. For the allroad, time will tell.

Seems to be a recent trend. A4 owners interested in allroads.
As you can tell, we are also into mod'ing our cars. They just happen to be bigger, heavier, and somewhat mor practical because of the size.
Lots of talent here to answer prospective allroad questions.
