Allroad Pricing

Thanks to all for your input on this forum. Bought a '05 w/ manual about 4 months ago. This forum helped a lot to make my decision.
Wanted to share a pricing summary I put together. It is based on all the allroads in the NY-Baltimore area (asking prices) on cars.com. Gave a good view of the depreciation.
Hope you find it interesting or helpful.

Nice presentation, and some interpretations
Assuming that cars sell at some discount to their asking price, it appears that values decline from $45,000 to $15,000 in approximately 5 years (assuiming 15k miles/yr) on a slightly accelerated basis ($7,000, $6,500, $6,000, $5,500, $5,000).
I find interesting the flatness of the 2001 line. There is a bottom.
This model is entirely consistent with the residual on my 3-yr 45k lease.
Well done.

No wonder there is so much current interest in the allroad...now is the best time to buy, especially
the early ones with low miles...presuming that they won't depreciate too much more, if they stay desirable to enthusiasts and such. Too bad for us who bought in the middle of the curve and earlier

That's why I decided to keep my 43k mi 2002...
CarMax offered me 16k for a car that's really not that far off from being new. I figure I can drive the thing for another 4 years and sell it for 8-10k. That mean's I'm only going to lose 6-10k more of depreciation over the next 4 years.
