After several years of making the case that Audi has 'come of age' and is equal to the Mercedes, Porsche and BMW marques in participating in the annual Deutsche Marque Concours all the clubs have agreed and this year Audi is in as a full partner. ACNA will represent Audi as does MBCA GWS (Mercedes Benz), PCA (Porsche) & BMWCCA (BMW)..the event is going to be held May and here is the first announcement:

The Audi Club of North America is pleased to announce that Audi automobiles will now be included for the first time in the annual Deutsche Marque Concours held in May, 2004. This program has included only Mercedes Benz, Porsche and BMW in prior years, and it is now time to show the Four Rings! The following is the early release of the event information so you can place the event on your calendars. More information will be coming shortly, including the registration forms.

Avenel TPC Country Club
Potomac, MD

The Deutsche Marque Concours is a joint concours with the Porsche, BMW, Audi, and
Mercedes Benz clubs. The event location has just been finalized at the TPC
Avenel. This should be an absolutely gorgeous event! So mark your calendar
to either show your car or to come out and see some of Germany's finest cars.
Cars are typically judged from 11am-1pm and on display till 3pm. Times may
vary for this year's event

For this event Audi cars will be separated by 5 categories and 2 classes. Street Class will be judged and Display Class is a `peoples choice' contest where those who attend the event vote for their favorite cars. This class is not judged and thus all the Audis with extensive mods can join in the fun! There will be trophies for first, second, and third place wins in each class and category. Also, event T-shirts will be available.

Final Audi Car Categories:
Early/Late Small Sedan: 4000/80/90 and B5/B6 A4/S4 (incl. convertible)
Early/Late Midsize Sedan: 5000/100/UrS4 and A6/S6 (all)
Large Sedan: V8/A8
Early/Late 2-Door: GT/UrQ/90 (incl. convertible) and TT (all)
Other: Fox, 100LS, etc

The event will be a great opportunity to see the finest of German engineering, socialize with fellow automobile enthusiasts, attend a wine and cheese reception, and show your car. This first year for Audi will be a more `causal' concours so you can get a feel for what a concours is all about a more importantly just enjoy a fun day at a wonderful location.

Avenel is a beautiful country club (go to link) and this first time event for us Audi drivers is a chance to GTG and show our cars...knowing the slight ;-) tendancy for mods we are 'loosening' the judged portion to allow for this and of course being in the Display Class is a 'peoples choice' so even the most off the wall mods can win if voted for. I have been showing cars (Mercedes) for a long time and it is a fun event...best of Euro cars, meetin and greetin, party time, reception and trophies...so please consider joining the event and stand by for updates...AND you do NOT need to be a member of ACNA to participate..only minor requirement is an Audi.
