Anyone else in the Northeast making up excuses to drive their ar today?

Yep, just got back from a 50 mile fun run through secondary roads...
This thing rips with snows. The Michelin Alpins are much better cornering tire then the Blizzak's on the S4. But the Blizzak's stop better.

Ditto, after helping a neighbor dig out her Mercedes SUV that got ...
stuck down the road. Also passed a couple of SUV's on some unplowed side streets. Their tires were moving but they weren't going anywhere. Smiled as I went by, kicking up 4 rooster tails. Goodyear UltraGrips handled very well. Really love it when the AR rearend steps out and then snaps back in line when making 90 degree turns.

Have ML500 - it rocks in this weather in NY. IF an ML got stock, I have no doubts any AR
will get stock in the same location as well. As proof - I am at work and my friend with AR is home. Do not put down ML. While it's no longer the best (or as good) onroad among its peers (AR, X5, XC90, FX35/45-by far, IMO, the best of them all) in the dry, it's still the best among them in realy bad weather like yesterday and today...enough said.

Don't get cocky
I went out for a joy ride in the snow, and while overall I had no problems, I did get stuck as I was getting off a curb from a parking lot driveway. I had to go slow because I could not see the traffic, and as the rear lowered from the curb, all four wheels started spinning and the AR would not go. 10 minutes of rocking back and forth got me out, but I was not a happy camper.
The AR is no Hummer in the snow.
