Default 20-22 mpg mixed city/hwy

Probably about 24 mpg on the highway alone. This is at 5000' elevation where drag is lower and mpg higher than sea level for the same speed.

Used VAG-COM to bump the fuel consumption display by 10% so it wouldn't give false high mpg readings.

Default 100+ Mile Commute.. round trip

Nassau County to Newark Airport via the GWB
Sunoco 93/94 The cars computer says 21-22, my math is at 20-21.

Straight highway trips ie PA and back with high speed runs with a BMW.. about 22-23 mpg

Straight highway with the family in the car 25MPG

Default Before LZ recall around 16, after LZ recall, around 18.

Crap any way you look at it. I have more stop-and-go around town driving than freeway miles. Best I can get is 25 or so, driving home (SF) from Tahoe (6,000ft), where it's a lot of coasting.

Usually filling up when I reach 250 miles on the tank.

Can you give provide the instructions for "bumping" the fuel consumption display? I find it annoying that it is ~2 mpg high.

Thanks!

Default I don't have the VAG-COM instructions handy

but to reduce an optimistic computer, change the value in VAG-COM from 100 to 110. Unfortunately, adjustments can only be made in 10% jumps.
