Default BBS RX- finally got around to trying on the allroad...

I've had these things for close to 2 years, just recently had them refinished so decided to mount a tire and bolt up to see what it looks like. Could be my new favorite look.
BBS RX 18x8 et32 with 20mm H&R spacer.
Best part is they're just 23 lbs.

Default Very nice. A classic look I've always liked

I had a set of RX II's on my old 5000tq that were similar.

Default Gosh, those look sweet. Fill the wells nicely. This could be a dumb Q:

Don't be offended when I ask this, but do the tires really not scrub the flares or arches, when turning or at compression or both?? Hard to believe from the look.

I expect a resounding 'NO!' by the way...

Default Thanks. Absolutely no clearance issues. If I did, I'd just use my 15mm spacers...

When I had the Hartmann RS6 wheels on, they were a 1/2" wider and I ran the same spacers and tires with absolutely no clearance issues over 8000 miles.
Interesting thing is that BBS supplies these wheels for the allroad with their own 12mm spacer but i felt it looked too wimpy thus the 20's.

Well let me know when you're ready to sell your summer RS6 reps. <G>

Default Very nice! We are very close to making a decision for our black allroad (long)

My wife likes the look of the RX in the 18x8. She is also considering the Ronal R7 or the R38. I don't like the look of the fat spokes on the R7. She also thinks the R38s look a lot like the RS4 from Hartmann. Don't know how soft either of those wheels are. My only experience with aftermarket wheels has been with BBS and Alcoa.

I think I mentioned earlier that we have some left over BBS RK in 17x8 from my old A4 Avant. I think the 17inch wheel w/spokes like the RK has may be too small. But, after seeing your new finish on the RX I might have to rethink this just a bit.

I am also having a hard time tracking down tires in 245/45/18. I really liked the S-04 and even the RE750 from Bridgestone when they were mounted to my A4 Avant. The S-04 wore quickly ane we didn't get much time in the RE750. But, the RE750 isn't available in that size and the S-04 is a little more tire than what i am after right now. We are looking at the Eagle F1 and Dunlop Sport Maxx.

She's enjoying the process.

Awesome! Get the full set ready for spring. Same weight as my BBS RK-IIs.
