Black Ice vs. My Allroad
We left NE PA last evening heading back to Long Island along interstate 84 at around 11PM. A cold front was moving in and it was 28 degrees with flurries and drifting snow. I had slowed considerably and noticed three spinouts. All of a sudden a gust of wind pushed my car sideways but I maintained control. I decided to turn back and leave mid morning. I don't think there is any remedy to black ice. I am tired of winter already. It's currently below zero and it's March 3rd in NE PA!!!!!

Nokian with studs!
I have these on my Eurovan and it is unstopable!
But if you have to listen to them when the road is dry (noisy!!!). Also studs don't handel as well on dry pavement!
I am getting a pair of Nokians (studless) for the AR since last weekend I went to the mountains and clearly saw how poor the OEM FI tires are in snow!!!! They suck, hands down. My Eurovan van did better!
Switching to diticated winter tires ASAP!
Also switching to Michelins for summer tires.
