A/C not blowing out air
My a/c abruptly stopped pumping out air while driving the other day. it sounds like the fan is turning but nothing is coming out of the vents. when i turn the heater up i can feel hot air but it still isnt blwoing out of the vents. is it a fuse or dose the fan need to be replaced??? please help

Hope it's not the blower. Mine started to squeak at mid-rpm levels. Dealer quoted $725 for the blower motor plus labor. I said I'll live with the noise. Squeak went away just after I left the dealer's lot.
Maybe a vent damper door is failing to open. Good luck.

I have a similar issue with my car. Sometimes the A/C will do what you describe after it has been on for a while (like 45min to 1 hour) and it is really hot and humid outside. The air coming out of the vents will trickle down to almost nothing even with the fan set on high. I can hear the fan running in the dash but it's not blowing much air. If I turn the A/C off (via the Econ button) for a few minutes then it works again for another 45min to 1 hour. Ususally while Econ mode is on I can hear water running out of the dash, so I thought the drain might be blocked but checked it and it seems fine. I used Vag-com to test the HVAC system and it did not find any faults.
Also many times the air temp coming out of the vents is not the same between the driver and passenger sides, even with the temp controls set to the same setting. The drivers side is almost always warmer.

I had the left blowing cold air and the right blowing hot for a month - finally got it to the repair shop and it wasnt the compressor it had to do with the air flaps that control where the air is going - there was an Audi service Bulletin on this but no recall.
