Charge limit exceeded...

not really and I'll explain.. (History of LULU to follow..)
Ever since I put my original APR 3.0 soldered in chip I got the fail safe..no turbo action. It always happend on an occasion that I as able to pin down to a high RPM.
I'd hit the gas in 3rd then at 5K I'd back off and hit it again. then at about 5k the power would drop (no turbos) with a minute the turbo boost would be back on.
I eventually VAGed it and found "Charge Pressure Exceeded".
This would never happen in stock mode.
Eventually with Forge valves it started to monimize and rarely happen. Then ond dumb day I played with the springs in the Forge valves and wnet to a softer spring.
I red light ran with a modded S4, blew my launch had the tach climb to 7K with no movement, the tubos quit and I heard the tubo lady in full chorus.
Thanks to KMD, I had my ECU put back to stock and the turbos were repalced by the dealer under warranty.
About a three months later I flashed with APR 5.0. and with 710N vlaves, the infamous Turbo quitting happened again. The same way, at 5K..throttle off.. then hit hit hard and allofasudden they go to safe mode.
VAG Scan says: Charge Pressure exceeded....
I chage to the Forge valves and it happens less, but still happend.
I get the new Statmosphere Diverters in July and the symptom hasn't come back until yesterday. And only the one time.
My car has been pressure tested, I have a 10,000 mile old Samco TBB and everything is fine. Its an Issolated occurance.
I'm just wondering where it comes from.
My logs show my boost is barely 15 PSI with rare spikes to 17PSI...not much.

Maybe sticky waste gates. Try the following:
The owners manual for my Porsche 930 turbo recommended running full throttle to red line in 1st gear at least once a day (after fully warmed up). The mechanic told me this was to ensure the waste gate functions with freedom. Normal driving can cause it to stick, then hammer it and pow! overcharge. I just started doing it to mine every few days. In 3rd gear the boost climbs too slowly for the gate to snap open. In 1st, pressure builds fast and the gate should open. It makes you smile if nothing else good happens. Hammer 1st from a stop, then hammer 3rd and see if the results are different in 3rd.

From the history, It seems that the DV plays an important role. So I have to ask you, what is the
exact fault code? It's 17963 or 17965 or ???
As I know, if I am wrong please correct me,
17963 : charge pressure upper limit exceeded. It's over boost.
17965 : charge pressure regulation control limit exceeded. It's usually under boost.
Because It's hard for the DV to cause over boost, but easier for under boost.
