Check engine light update
The check engine light can not be explained by the dealer. They have guesses like the fuel was run down too low (not), injectors not keeping pressure, car sat idling for an extended time (no). They've reset the programs and I'll have to see if it was a odd hickup. They do say that 5 of the 6 cylinders showed a miss-fire. The loaner they rented for me was an Impala. And I was sorely tempted to debadge it ; )

I wouldn't stress about it.
these OBD-II cars are very sensitive to one-time hiccups. There are any number of things that could have tripped the light (bad tank of gas?) but have no lasting ill effect. Read the codes, reset, and go. If it keeps occuring then you will have to dig deeper but I suspect it was a one-time cough.
Just look over in the S4 forum. Those guys with highly modded cars have to reset the CEL all the time.
