Selling? '03 2.7 6MT
Greetings allroad lovers,
I have been away for a while enjoying many relatively trouble free miles in my '03. To be specific, at 188,000 miles my local indy garage just completed a second timing belt service. The first was done at about 95,000 miles. I ordered the enhanced kit from Blauparts along with the valve cover kit. These are very complete kits and my garage liked them. I am still on the original turbos, clutch and exhaust system.
So, having just put about $1200 into the car, shouldn't I simply drive it for many more miles? Does anyone have an idea my car is worth? I know what KBB says, and I wonder if it is a cult car yet and perhaps worth more? I still get compliments on it once in a while and I like the car. Should I just drive it to death?

Personally, I would keep it for a while but I also have around 188k on mine and plan to keep it for a while. The allroad, especially a manual version, only has a following with a select few out there. Not really all that popular.
Here in Oregon an 03', manual, 188k mile allroad would sell for around $4-5,000 depending on the other fit and finish parts since the drive train looks to be in good shape. It might sell for a bit more in Colorado or New England but not by much.
For me, the only way I would sell mine is if it is a nasty wreck that would write it off or I find another car that ticks all the boxes that the allroad does. I really haven't found one yet though. I plan on keeping mine and when the engine decides to go in the next 30-50k I'll be doing a TDI swap and keeping it for a bit longer. I love my allroad.

I'd keep it.
Yes, it's a cult car, but it's a very small cult.
So, since the cult is so small they're really not worth more money. The 6mt's are worth a few bucks more than the auto-boxes, like maybe $10 more. I bought the green one 3. years ago. We like it so much that we bought another in November.
During spring (which, where I live happens on 25 May, from 3:17 to 3:29pm) I will take a new sig pic showing both cars.
