I could really care less what CR said. I willingly spent extra $ for extra performance. That's what it was about and I have no regrets. As for...

- milage: exactly, who cares. Performances doesn't come free. Besides it's not much worse than a lot of other vehicles out there that offer a good level of either performance or utility. (Note: only one offers both and that's the AR baby!)

- turbo/tip complaints: yep, agree. admittedly, Audi could have done better, and next time I would consider 6spd a little more, but it's not that bad. One can definitely learn to command this vehicle as I've demonstrated to several BMW X5s, Merc MLs, Lexus whatevers, Subaru blobs, etc.

Basically I don't feel as though I need CR to validate my purchase. I know this car rocks, and that's enough for me!

If someone wants gas mileage, they should purchase a VW. Even with Turbo Lag, the allroad destroys every other wagon and many sedans, two seaters, etc. Keep the RPM's up and you will eliminate the lag. CR's comments are for the morons that look to others for info as opposed to making their own informed decisions.
