Default DVD navigation for allroad?

From the Audi car configurator (at least on the german website) it seems that Audi is now offering a DVD (instead of CD-ROM) navigation system for the allroad.
Does anyone with an '04 allroad have this?
Is the layout the same as the old version or does it have the newer layout like the new A3 (a rectangular screen instead of a square one)?

Default I wish that would work for us in the US =(

I wish audi would offer that peroid in the US. I have the old style retrofitted to my allroad and love it, but the new dvd based unit is awesome! One thing worth mentioning is that it's PAL format only. From what I understand it doesn't support NTSC at all. Probably not a concern for you, but worth mentioning.

Default Re: DVD navigation for allroad?

I've just picked up a '04 2.5 TDI Limited Edition, which is a 180 bhp with a few extras f.o.c
Aluminium optic pack
Dark tint glass from B-post to hatch
Body coloured bumpers(fenders),arches and roof
6 CD boot changer
DVD Sat Nav with integrated mp3 player, twin sd card slots or cd in head unit.

As I have owned a couple of A4's and the kids are getting bigger, it's perfect.

If anyone's interested, I'll posts some pictures.

Default That's what I've been waiting for

I think it's ridiculus that audi always lags behind to offer better
systems. Even Japanese cars offer better navigation system. If we can sucessfully install one in the allroad, I'll be next in the list.

Default Very Nice. This indeed is the new unit with MMI similar logic.

I was not expecting Audi to upgrade the allroad and A6 Avant with this system.
PS My request for a picture crossed your post with 3 seconds time difference! Thanks.
