How do you like them? Noise level? Decent ride? Tire pressures run for oem size? I'm used to 29/29 on tires below for a decent ride.
Ready to order oem size 17s today ...
I already have Dunlop Wintersport M3s for the winter and a set of like new Pirelli P6s for tree swings.

18s are sweet: quiet, soft, excellent grip
They have soft sidewalls (which makes the ride exceptionally comfortable) so they will roll in the turns at lower pressures.
However I ran them at track day at at 38f 36r and had no problem with roll over.
My tire pressures for the 18s. I always inflate the front +2 psi:
Max comfort: 36f 34r
Track: 38-40f 36-38r
I was feeling a very slight wobble around 50 mph so I am currently running 38f 36r. No more wobble. And better mpg!
Have you considered going with 18s? It sure is nice to have two sets of wheels. And with these tires you don't sacrifice comfort, just get better handling.

I have the same setup for winter, M3 Winter sports
in original size on single spoke OEM's. I'm looking to get new summer wheels/tires now. What size GSD3's are you running? I am guessing that 245/45/18 is the right one, but don't see the GSD3's in that size.
I used to run Michelin Pilot Sport on my A4, they were excellent, quiet, soft ride, stuck like glue. Sounds like you feel the same about the G3D3's, so I am leaning towards getting them.
A couple questions for you:
1) I'm getting new wheels too, was going to go with Tire Rack moda r6, any comments or suggestions of other wheels? I have never bought aftermarkets so am concerned about bending, etc.
2) Plus sizing: I have heard a lot about screwing up the odo/speedo when doing this, have you noticed anything with the size you went with?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, size is 245/45/18
In answer to your questions:
1. The Moda R6 is a nice looking wheel. It was my first choice until I found an incredible bargain on the CEC Type 129s at cheapwheels.com. I'd be less worried about bending than proper fitment. The allroad is very, very senstive to roundness and balance. Be sure to get the proper spacers and hubcentric rings for your wheels and have them carefully balanced. Even a slight imbalance can lead to annoying vibration.
2. No noticeable problem with the 18s but haven't done any tests.
Let me know if you need any further information about proper fitment. Good luck!

Cool, thank you. I'm ordering the GY's today, just
need to make a final decision on which wheels. I hear you on the sensitivity thing, that's why I was leaning towards ronal or moda b/c of the brand name, but also b/c they don't need any spacers. I guess I'm leery to go with spacers based on the general assumption that a direct fit would be better? I guess the only way to be sure is to try it.
Thanks for the input.
