Default I've heard about the R6 being soft, but thought that this design...

might be a bit stronger based on more evenly distributed spokes.

Default My wife did some phone work today...

and I think she has narrowed the selection down to the brand level, BBS. We had them on our A4 and loved them. Anyways, she got on the phone with BBS, Tire Rack and another company and has been working a deal. Right now she can't decide between 8.5 or 8 for rim width. I'll post pics on what she gets.

She doesn't know it but Deep down she has the mod bug.

BTW, thanks for everyone's comments.

Default And, thanks for the offer Ed.

I'll let you know the models she likes. I am in the N.E. OH area.

Default We need to clone your wife. And if you find something in the BBS line...

and it requires the BBS spacer kit, let me know. I have a BBS 12mm spacer kit that I've never used. Spacers and bolts. And in fact I got it from TireRack too.

Default Re: I run 18 x 18.5 RS6 reps ET 30 with 5mm spacer for summer

There is about 1/4" clearance between the tire and support (not sure if this is the upper control arm). Put about 3000 miles on and never had a problem with rubbing. I even try some rough roads with hard turns to see if it would rub. I know most try to achieve an ET of 20 with the 8.5" width but the setup I have works just fine. I would think an 8" width with ET of 25 would also be fine.

I ran into the same issue with tire rack when I asked about spacers, they basically hung up on me.

Default Wheel Offset Calculator

You may find this website helpful when trying to determine the effect of different wheel widths and offsets.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp</a

Default Wow, can't believe it fits for you. I tried my 18x8.5 Reps et35 with 8mm spacer

and I rubbed. Perhaps wheel and/or tire profiles make a difference.

Default Re: Without the spacers the tires just touched. Added the 5mm and all is fine.

Running 245/45/18 Dunlop. Knowing what I do now I think I would prefer the 10 mm spacer.

Default Troy, you must have me confused with someone else

I have Moda R6 for winter wheels with no issues. I am running them currently.
