Isn't that one of the items in the menu options you can choose to show or not?
Read your manual, (as I have TRMS and it may be different) but the button to set your clock and other stuff may have a menu option that when you cycle through stuff you want to display like gas mileage instant, gas mileage average and to adjust calendar and time may have this as one of the options. (I'm at work and I'm just guessing which is why I want you to pull out your manual.)

Don't you just have to hit the button once?
is anything showing up, like mpg avspeed or anything? if everything blank, the display is simply turned offf.... play with the buttons on the righthand stalk to get to reappear.

I forgot to mention - the display is turned on and I have two options (one for NO NAV and one with NAV other than blank)
The NO NAV option has three different levels on the screen - the center one is blank (MPG, SPEED works) and radio on top works. Center one used to have temp - nomore
THE NAV option has two screens, Nav works and Radio works but the temp does not show up right below the radio
Did I do something?
