Finally !!! Got my tires and wheels!

Tight fit but they do fit. This tire is as about as wide as I could see fitting on the car, the sidewall is just barely outside of the fender lip and there is about 3/8" between the suspension and the tire in the inside. No spacers and the ride is significantly better.
Goodyears are smooth and quiet. Haven't really been out on the highway for and extended period though.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like the TSW Kaylami's with the Hyper Black center/Brushed Aluminum rim and the way the Goodyears fit them far more than the Ronal R38's and the Michellin Pilot Sport A/S's... The aluminum goes well with the lower trim.
Just My Opinion...posted a pic.

3/8" that means your offset could of been better, you don't want the tires sticking
out from the fender flares, what happens if you hit a large hole or something else, the tire is going to eat the fender.
I like the look, but think your offset based on your description is not ideal.

Actual tire sizes are not standard across brands.......
and when I had the Michellin tires in the same stated 245 MM size the tires themselves were actually narrower dimensionally than the Goodyears and also narrower than the 225 55 17 stock P-6 Pirelli Allroads. Also when the tire store mounted the 245 Michellins the tire's treads and shoulders were actually narrower than the 9" TSW wheels. Granted Michellin has a pretty square shoulder but the width was actually narrower.
The goodyears are shaped a bit like Pirelli's and they have a bit of a rounded shoulder. It is not the tread that sticks out beyond the edge of the fender flair it is the sidewall that does. Visiually this is about 1/8". I don't think that there is enough suspension travel for the tire to hit the flair.
