Default Some solutions, possibly

Your comments are right on with my concerns with this car. I currently have a 2.8 A6 avant but will upgrade to an S6 or allroad at some point, if the allroad, something must be done with the suspension.

The H-sport sway bars (finished in black) should greatly help the roll in corners. Get on the list, the dealer will never know the difference if you install the black ones. This seems like a no brainer decision.

Some 18" RS4 wheels with your favorite flavor of tire (Toyo TS1 or some such thing is one of the current top picks, along with the B-stone SO3, etc). No warranty issues with this. Use higher tire pressures in front as well (~42psi cold?).

More difficult, you could replace the seats with the A6 sport seats in front and the A6 Avant leather rear seats (this would equate to the sport seat pkg seating in a 2.7t sedan).

As for the lag, others will have suggestions, but within the bounds of the warranty you've about figured it out.

As for the dog, I recently bought a Furrari Traveler from Petco. It was the only thing that would clear the ceiling (barely) and was large enough for my Airedale. Also has wheels, but the clamshell design is not air travel accepted so you have to modify it or plan on not using it to send the dog cargo.

Definitely do the H sport bars, though. Sounds like you would not regret it.

Default dog crate issue

I was able to fit a 36"L, 24"W, 28"H combination side/end door crate into the back with the middle seats up. I had to slide it in folded from the back, I moved it to where it could be reached from the side doors with the seats folded down, put it up, pushed it to the back and put the middle seats up again. The side door opened quite well toward the back.

I was able to fit the same crate lengthwise with the larger of the two middle seats folded down and a much smaller crate lengthwise on the other side with it's middle seat up. The end door opened toward the back and the side door toward the inside of the car.

Default "Once above 20 (and really from 60 to 110) this car shines!"
