Flasher relay needs to be replaced. I have a few questions...
Hey guys,
I'm pretty sure my flasher relay is on the fritz. When I signal, it will flash fast, then normal, then fast. Sometimes it will just flash fast and an icon comes on the gauge cluster. Anyways, I did a little research and it seems as though these symptoms point to a bad relay. From what I read, the hazard switch in the center dash acts as the flasher relay too. Does this mean I need to buy a new switch in order to fix the flasher problem? And, how come when I put on the hazards, the indicators work fine w/ no fast flashing? I hear it's an easy fix, it's just a matter of clearing up the issue of the hazard switch actually being the relay too. If this isn't the relay, can someone let me know the fix. Thanks!
Mike

yep... the switch and the relay is all in one... Seems to be a common failure...
Mine did as you described (only turn signals, but hazards were fine). Replaced once under warranty and have not had the issue since.
It's an easy DIY job that should only take a few mins...
Good luck!

different circuts in the same part...
One part of it is OK another section of the part if N/G. Same symptoms I've had and others.
its about $25.00 and 5-10 minutes of your time.

Had the same problem...
Ultimately searched here and found a couple of good writeups to DIY. 1st time, took me a little longer just to make sure I didn't break anything, but after that, I could do it in 10 minutes easy. Do a search and you should find some good instructions with pictures.
