Default Fogs Mod?

It looks like everyone does this at the fuse panel. Anyone that did it at the light switch?

Just wondering?

Default Fog light mod?

What are we talking about? having the fogs run full time of run with the headlights?

I have heard about bulb upgrades as a mod, and I have considered going yellow, but having them on all the time doesn't seem too exciting for me. Am I missing something?

thanks

Default Not on all the time - just on w/o the headlights (aka, running lights)

Default What happened to using fog lights for....

the FOG? Pet pieve of mine is people using fog lights all the time. May be time for a vision check if you need that much light to see while driving at night?

Default not to mention the mod to the mod.......

albe1's idea of soldering the 2 circuits together for a better connection.

again, it was nice to meet you, and maybe we'll see you and your son next weekend at the Bremerton driving event.

Default Driving just north of the border here, in British Columbia, I notced

a lot of Audi's had their fog's set up to be drl's as well, and since I do a fair amount of traveling on mountain 2 lane roads I like the idea of driving with headlights on for better visibilty (for the benefit of other drivers of course). Since I have the xenon headlights I didn't personally like the idea of shortening their life span. So I had read where some A6 drivers in the U.S. had done this mod and figured it could be done on our cars as well.

Default Just keep the oncoming driver in mind...

I understand the need for DRLs (although I don't fully buy into their benefit). However the difference between lights for DRL, which are usually lower output than your normal headlamps, and lights that are higher power to light low visibility situations, is quite a bit.

If you are simply looking for the benefit of better visibility on the road by other drivers, just use your running lights.

I have to agree. Driving with fogs on when it's not foggy looks tacky.

Default that was one of my decisions to use the fog lights. Not

blinding of the other driver (like the xenons may to some) very easy and inexpensive to replace as well. I feel running lights do not have near the visibility as the fog lights in daytime conditions. Especially seeing Audi does this to their vehicles in Canada where DRL's are required. JMHO ;-)
