ghost in the machine
I'm a newbie to the forum, so excuse me if this one was already posted.
My Allroad is usually set at the lowest setting, however after sustained high-speed deriving (65+ mph for over 30 min.) the car will mysteriously rise to the second position when the car comes to a stop.
My Audi dealer thinks I'm nuts ... is there any way to stop the car from doing this?

Re: Put your suspension in manual mode? Are you in a 2001?
Bought it in May '01. I believe the Manual light is on, but I'll check when I get home. Should it be in manual? If not, all I need to do is press and hold the button for 10 sec and it switches mode, right?

Suspension behavior
This is the way it's programmed to act, and no one has discovered any way around it.
Two fixes are (1) the manual mode for 2001 models noted previously and (2) just putting it down a level when it wants to go back up. It should only reset upwards after sustained driving at speed.
I used to drive around town at setting 1 all the time, and finally decided I like the handling better at setting 2 (feels firmer). So you might consider trying this.
And if your dealer thinks you're nuts, it means he doesn't know how the car he sold you works. That would seem a little disturbing. HPH

'02 doesn't do this
I just returned from a 3K trip with lots of sustained 80+mph driving in our new '02. I had it in level 1 all the way, and it stayed there after coming off the freeway. Manual says the automatic raising/lowering at different speeds is turned off if you set the height at level 1, and this does seem to be the case with the '02.
